[内容简介] 本书在国内外关于社会资本的理论和经验研究成果的基础之上,尝试提出了一个结构清晰的,多维度、多条目的,中国本土化的社会资本综合指标体系。书中主要数据来自北京大学中国国情研究中心(the Research Center for Contemporary China)在2008年实施的全国大型概率抽样调查项目“公民文化与和谐社会”。研究结果再一次证明了社会资本对于社会、政治、经济发展的积极作用。

社会资本的政治学研究从20世纪末开始日益繁荣起来。很多理论阐述和经验调研证明社会资本能够促进集体行动,对于解释政治现象、促进政治发展具有重要意义。无论是定性研究还是定量研究,掌握准确的社会资本测量方法是得到一个可靠结论的前提条件。本书在国内外关于社会资本的理论和经验研究成果的基础之上,尝试提出了一个结构清晰的,多维度、多条目的,中国本土化的社会资本综合指标体系。指标体系的建立从罗伯特·帕特南(Robert D. Putnam)对社会资本的定义开始,帕特南是将社会资本应用于政治学研究的重要人物。测量就围绕着社会网络,以及由此产生的公民规范和信任而展开。“社会网络”指标包括社团网络、社区网络和人际网络;“规范”指标包括体现社会规范的公民责任感和公民义务感,体现人际规范的互惠;“信任”指标包括亲缘、地缘和业缘/学缘信任、一般信任和政治信任。其中部分指标,如公民的公共规范、政治信任等,是考虑到政治学研究的需要和中国本土化特征而设计。新建立的社会资本指标体系回答了这样两个疑问:中国社会有多少社会资本存量,呈现什么特征?西方研究中的社会资本和政治参与的理论假设在中国社会成立吗?书中主要数据来自北京大学中国国情研究中心(the Research Center for Contemporary China)在2008年实施的全国大型概率抽样调查项目“公民文化与和谐社会”。研究结果再一次证明了社会资本对于社会、政治、经济发展的积极作用。
